Skills Parks

What is a skills park you might ask? In short a skills park is a playground for bikes, but in reality  they are so much more then just a place to have fun, they are a valuable tool for rider development.

Skills parks offer riders a chance to gain new skills in a safe and managed environment. Often parks have features designed to resemble terrain found on local trails giving riders the opportunity to practice and progress their riding before heading out into the forest.

At Dirtworks we can build a skills park for your community, no matter how big or how small. We'll work with local riders to determine their needs, to design and ultimately build their dream park.

We don't stop there though. We're in it for the long haul: offering park maintenance plans to hard to ensure your parks remain safe and fun for years to come.

Mountain Bike Trails

The very thought of building trails excites us. Primarily Mountain Bike trails. Our team brings a wealth of expertise and experience. Taking a step back in our holistic and progressive approach - we’re building fun trails for you that will last. A trail can take you anywhere or nowhere at all, and that sense of adventure is why we love them. Our trails are built under guidelines set in place by the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) and the Whistler Trail Standards both are renowned world wide as leaders in trail design and construction.

Trail Maintenance

Our team can help your community with trail maintenance issues. From choosing proper lines and implementing sustainable building practices, to training sessions for community members. We’d like to help insure your trails remain safe and present for years. Water is the number one cause of trail damage. Keeping water off the trail and your users on, is the key to having a trail that will stand the test of time. Knowing this one can then implement subtle changes in trail layout - some almost invisible to the eye - work to guide water gently off the trail tread before it do any further damage.

Hiking Trails

Dirtworks is more then just Bikes, we love hiking too and would be thrilled to be a part of your next project! Mountain Bike trails and parks may be our speciality but the skills, and know how needed to build a world class bike trail are the same ones needed to build a world class hiking trail.
